My mate bill wants a car and he has tasked me with finding it. Of course there are some restrictions; max £1000, reasonable mileage, a 30 mile distance from Chelmsford, manual, diesel powered and fairly roomy (I am basing the roomy-ness on being able to fit a body in the boot).
I have shown him a couple of motors; a Fabia, a Renault Megane, and a bit of a left field option, the Dodge Caliber. However the one he has settled on is not on that list, it is the Citroen C5 (which was my favourite of the bunch). The C5 is a 1.6l diesel estate. It is from 2006 and has 108,000 miles on the clock, apparently that's 12,972 less than the average according to AutoTrader. It can do 50mpg and will set you back exactly £845.
11.5 seconds to 60 and a top speed of 116 won't break any records but Bill isn't about the fast life, he likes long walks on the beach, is 6ft3 (ladies ;) ) and is gluten intolerant. Back to the boot measurement, I can confirm you can fit 3 dead bodies in the boot, you're welcome (if Bill doesn't buy it I am going to see if it fits 4 bodies).
