Mazda's Problem Child

Mazda is a very innovative company, probably its most famous innovation was the Wankel engine (Rotary). The wankel is a different take on the standard engine layout, Mazda has replaced the piston with a rotating triangular object. At some point in the future I shall explain the wankel but I simply can't be bothered.

This is the RX8, the problem child of Mazda. Its been out for a while now, but when it was first announced and I was a young little whipper snapper I thought it was the coolest car ever, I have wanted one badly ever since. Knowing my luck, I thought it would always be out of my price range. However, boy ol' boy was I wrong, you can get one for like £500 (for the doggiest of dogs). "Why so cheap?" you ask, because the wankel, if not treated with respect is the worst thing on planet earth. You are meant to warm the car up for like 10 minutes before you drive it and do the same for when you stop. This can be tedious and people are morons so they don't do it, they treat it like a normal car, meaning problems start arising. The main issues with the wankel are that they require an unholy amount of oil incredibly frequently, and that they really like petrol, you are probably in the tens in mpg land. It is really sad because one of these in black looks and sound amazingggg, in fact I tried to get one for my first car (becasuse they are a 1.3 kind of) but insurance and the other issues put me off. I hope to get an RX8 one day before they all die out, and I will even treat it nicely.
