Noble M12 | SupercarSundays

This weeks supercar is the Noble M12 GTO. Its the second car developed by Noble - a small car company based in Leicester. The M12 was made in 2002 and doesn't look too shabby for its age.

The Noble gets you to 60 in 3.7seconds, and it keeps going until it runs out of steam at 170mph. You would think it could do closer to 200 considering the fact that it looks like it was designed in a wind tunnel with lots of scoops and recesses driving the air down to keep it from flying away. This M12 is more of a track car, based on circuit racing rather than running down drag strips.

The M12 comes equipped with a 3L twin-turbo V6 engine, which produces 352bhp. Personally I would say the supercar band starts at 500bhp. However, this car is light, very light, 1080kg light. This means that the car has a power to weight ratio of 0.1478. Pretty good if you ask me, if you compare it to the Ferrari of the same era, the F430, then you understand why the Noble should be called a supercar. The F430 outputs 483bhp and weighs 1450kg, this produces a power to weight of 0.151. As you can see these figures are fairly impressive considering the F430 was the supercar of the time. This has been less of a piece of writing on the Noble and more on defending my pick for "SupercarSunday", but I think its warranted! There you are, the Noble M12.
