Today's supercar is the 2018 Ford GT. I feel as though I am very late to the party on this one. I am a big fan of all of the generations preceding this one and I think the 2006 GT has aged very well, I might buy one myself one day. This one is like a breath of fresh air, its like Ford took the previous model and gave it to a group of aeronautic engineers, this probably has more downforce than an F1 car, just look at it.
There is one thing that you cannot be unseen, the rear of the car was without a doubt designed by the people who made angry birds.
You see? basically the same. Anyway enough crap from me, you want the specs don't you? You would think this American car would have a V8, but you would be wrong, it actually has a twin-turbo V6. The 3.5L engine produces 647 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque, It will do 0-60 in 2.9 and has a top speed of 216mph.
All of this for £900,000, yepppppp that's a lot. If you bought one when they came out they were $450,000, you would have now doubled your money, and people say cars only lose you money! The 2006 seems a lot more tempting now, considering it is a 1/4 of the price. Unless of course you are planning to take this on the track and you own a football club, then the price to performance difference should not bother you in the slightest. Now I don't want to ruffle any feathers, but I think this car looks like on a par with the three hypercar's of today. It is bluddy beautiful, shame about it only being LHD.
