The Cannonball run involves driving across America from east coast to west. The first record was set by Erwin Baker for a time of 53 hours and 30 minutes. This was set in 1933, so things have progressed since then. The record has been broken and I am upset as I am a big fan of the previous holder of the record, Ed Bolian. Ed Bolian has a YouTube channel and an app called "VINWIKI". He, Dan Huang and Dave Black completed the Cannonball record in 28 hours and 50 minutes, almost 25 hours faster than the first record set.
The record has now been broken again, just a few weeks ago. The new holders of the record are; Arne Toman, Doug Tabbutt, and Berkeley Chadwick. These boys set a time of 27 hours and 25 minutes, an hour faster than Bolian. Lets just say, the speed limit may have been broken once or twice.
The video explains a lot more than I ever can.
