Hyundai is a brand that I have never really understood, I think it is because they haven't produced anything that exciting (no offence intended). You see, a Hyundai is for the man who isn't into cars whatsoever, he just wants decent build quality for a reasonable price. I can put up with that of course, or rather I could have, but they have sort of made something a bit exciting now. It's called the i30N and its bluddy mental.
Big fan of that duck egg blue colour, you? This car is supposed to be a rival for the great Golf GTI, and well it does a good job! If we compare the specs you will be able to see why.
2.0-litre T-GDI petrol 275hp, 378Nm, 0-62mph in 6.1 secs, 39.8mpg
2.0-litre TSI petrol 245hp, 370Nm, 0-62mph in 6.2 secs, 42.8mpg
That's right, the only thing that the Golf beats the i30N on paper is mpg (and maybe interior quality), madness. If you just buy a Golf every time your finance ends, maybe you should do some shopping around.
