The Lada Riva is a car that has not changed in generations. Far better than the ever changing BMW line. Why change perfection?
Nothing about the car has changed since its birth(ish) in 1963, whereas BMW and their competitors are always trying to get to that Lada level, but never quite getting there. Lada is a quality brand from Russia, actually owned by Renault. They are still produced today! You can buy them new in some countries. There is a craze at the moment where companies are taking old cars and modernising the internals, but this is very expensive and Lada's are notoriously cheap. Buy a Lada.
