Having a private number plate can be a hot topic amongst friends, some feel it is a nice present or an expression of individuality. Others believe it is a terrible waste of money that could be put to better use. The easiest way to explain this is to compare a number plate to a car, some people are quite happy with their Kia (a standard number plate in this case), whereas others who like the finer things in life would much prefer to pay a lot more money to waft around in a Bentley (a private number plate).
How much would you spend on a number plate? In my case a couple hundred quid, it all depends on your financial situation, or how much debt you are willing to put yourself in.......
Some people in this world have a breathtaking amount of money, they could quite easily splash hundreds of thousands on something that doesn't really matter at all. Number plates are not a complete waste of money though, they have performed quite well as an investment actually. I suppose them being successful investment vehicles kind of makes sense, there is an ever increasing amount of people on this planet and there are only so many private number plates laying around, supply and demand babyyyyyyyy.
Now on to the main point of this, how much are the most expensive number plates in the UK? Well lets do the top 10 because quite honestly I can't be bothered to find any more ;).
