The Ultimate Road Trip Car?

If some brand wants to pay me lots of money so I can buy it and drive it across the world with some friends I would quite appreciate it. You can pepper as many advertisements as you like on it. I also don't care what brand, you could sell shoe insoles for all I care, in fact that's not a bad shout.

This little beauty, or should I say large beauty, is a NYPD Cadillac De Ville. I have not got a clue when it was made, I wouldn't even be able to make an educated guess. The things I do know about it is that it has a full leather interior, it has a ridiculously large 4.9L engine and its obviously left-hand drive.

This big bruiser of a car would be a dream to drive around on long road trips, I am sure you would be able to cover thousands of miles in this without having the slightest chance of back pain. Automatic, soft springs, big engine that wouldn't even struggle a little on the motorway - the only thing struggling would be your bank account. I don't mean buying the car, because its decently priced at £3800. I mean paying for the fuel for the gas guzzling 4.9L monster.

I will use some loose maths to work out how much it would cost to travel across the UK. Starting in Falmouth at the castle and finishing in John o' Groats (bottom of the England to the top of Scotland-ish) is an 816 mile journey. We will give the Cadillac De Ville the benefit of the doubt and say it can do 20mpg on average. The current petrol price is 126.10p per litre (average). I have added a non-optimal driving offset of 15% (you're not getting the same mpg throughout the journey). Having all of this information means that we can work out that the drive would cost £275ish. I was expecting a bigger number to be fair.

So there you go, this wasn't much of a post about the car, but more on me trying to get a brand to sponsor me.

£3800 for the car +

£125 for me to get to Falmouth +

£275 for the fuel from Falmouth to John o' Groats +

£250 for an Airbnb for the bois +

£150 for fuel back from John o' Groats to home +

£100 for snacks +

£300 for car insurance, tax etc.

= £5000

It will cost you £5000 to make you potentially limitless money, come onnnnnnnnn give me the cheddar. You know you want to.
