Toyota Make An Oopsy

Toyota have to recall 44,000 vehicles from the 2019 to 2020. This currently includes the Camry, RAV4, and the Lexus ES300H (cars with their 2.5L engine).

Basically, there is a chance that the engine could crack, obviously this isn't great. These cracks will obviously result in some other problems, like an oil leak or the whole engine being Kaput. How was it caused? Someone really messed up at the Toyota plant when they were manufacturing the engines, maybe they took an extra long break and something didn't happen right, or it was an apprentice, its usually an apprentice. The actual issue doesn't seem the apprentices fault actually: the issue is expected to have been caused by the water flow meter failing. The water flow meter which regulates the casting of engines, this leading to some engines not cooling properly.

If you own a Toyota made between 2019 to 2020 I would suggest ringing up your local garage. Who am I kidding this is the 21st Century, they will contact you (you will have to wait weeks for them to even touch your car and you will be driving about in whatever enterprise decides to give you for weeks, but hey at least it's not inconvenient).
